An all new hull specific to the XP was developed which brought a "lean in" style of riding to the craft. Further enhancing this was Sea-Doo`s "Direct Action Suspension," a raised seat that was mounted on a pivot and had a shock absorber at the opposite end. The 110HP 782cc engine was carried over, as was the predominantly yellow with black accents color scheme.3 The 1997 boat was over 90 lbs heavier than the 1996 boat, which resulted in slower acceleraion from the previous year although realizing a top speed gain by about 1 mph. a great time, kids loved it too, the wife.. not so much! Due to its size it offers good stability for when the young children came out with me but with its variable trim you can adjust it to pick the nose up and make the most of any wave !! Unfortunately for me I picked up some rope in the jetdrive one day which ended badly for me and the ski, but the Ski has been been completely rebuit with a full engine (crank and pistons) and new drive rebuild so will be as good as new when put back to use. Engine is a 951CC two stroke. Jetski has been winterised at the moment so will need to be re-oiled before use which I can arrange prior to collection if required. Ski will need a new battery which I will include in the sale. With original Receipt from November 2002, and safety handbook! There are a couple of rollers missing on the trailer and it needs a jockey wheel but has a brand new trailer board and in general works fine. Ski is fast and capable of pulling a wakeboard etc with ease. Only selling as now kids are older and taking part in dancing, football etc my weekends seem to have turned into one big taxi run! Will definately get another one later though! I`ll happily answer any questions, best to email as I may have to ask jetski shop if answers are too technical! X

Some obvious changes are complete riva exhaust system, larger intercooler, upgraded ECU (from australia), lowered handlebars, lowered sponsons, recovered seat, and much much more. I would say there has been in excess of £7000 spent on top of the value of the ski! I have also just had a complete rebuild done 3 hours use ago, it cost £3500 to have done as is running perfectley.
