These are fantastically reliable, dependable machines. 115 hours for these 1500cc Rotax engined machines does not represent heavy work and these engines have run for 250+hours with ease. head turner when it came out, and still a beautiful looking scooter now ! The one to beat when they came out. One of the early examples of this scooter to arrive in the UK, it was purchased from Frontiers Motorcyles in Wimbledon in December 1997. I spent 4 years commuting up to London on this bike, however at the end of 2001, I stored the scooter in the garage as I switched to driving up to London. In the summer of 2005, I decided to get the scooter going again, so all it needed was a new battery and a service, and I ran it for another year until the summer of 2006, whereupon I stored the scooter again, to this day. As a consequence, it has very low mileage for its age (16,782km = 10,400 miles) and I have copies of some service invoices, and V5. Technically, the scooter is a non-runner, as the battery needs replacing due to the long period of time in storage, but it was working perfectly before being stored - so a new battery and service would get it back on the road. Having bought the scooter when going through my mid-life crisis (mid-30 year old!), it was lovingly looked after, and not crashed/thrashed and raced, like many of the sports scooters you come across that were owned by young speed freaks (typicaly multiple owners) who flogged them to death. Loads of power to pull inflatables and i am including a single person ringo with tow ropes in the auction.The ski has a rotax 2 stroke engine and runs like a dream. i have always used seadoo xps oil for the fuel mix (simply fill the oil bottle in the engine bay and the ski automatically mixes the fuel when running). I have flushed the engine with fresh water after every use.Included with the ski is a Snipe roller trailer. Since i have had the trailer i`ve done a bit of work on it as follows. 2 x support bars welded on, whole trailer has been painted with hammerite, 1 x new mudguard fitted and I had a Brand new axel fitted last year.I have had loads of fun of this thing and am sad to sell it but as i don`t get much spare time to use it anymore it has to go.
